Welcome New Technology And Go Hands Free

Embrace New Technology And Go Hands Free

Folks have several names for these, from Hands Free Car Kits to Bluetooth Car Kits to Mobile Phone Car Kits but no matter what they call them, they’re entirely necessary for Drivers.

New Zealand has finally followed in the footsteps of most of the Western World and banned the utilization of Hand Held Mobile Phones while driving. Of course, the legislation continues to spark healthy discussion as there are various people that simply see it as another violation on our human rights.

Like most legislation it will become simply the norm in a few months time and individuals in general will move on to other topics to voice their annoyance. At this stage a heap of people will have bought a Bluetooth Car Kit.

What will stay is a giant number of fines being dished out for breaches of the new law. This! I see real sense in as opposed to ticketing drivers for 7 k’s over the speed limit.
Aah! You detect a little frustration here don’t you.
Well! Perhaps it’s my turn to get on a soap box. Yes! I was ticketed by a speed camera. My offense was exceeding the speed limit by 7 k’s. Serves you right! I hear from some of you. Yes! I am a criminal therefore lock me away! I did it! I knowingly flouted the law and should pay the cost. 7k’s is completely unacceptable but still I am a tad irked. I believed there was a 10k tolerance to permit more minor speed fluctuations, not that that’s a defense.

Perhaps! it had been because I was in a school zone and if so then sobeit. But wait! At ten o’clock at night there aint many kiddies threatening to run across the road.

Simply a note here
The Police are kind enough to point out that speed cameras aren’t a revenue collection exercise nevertheless they have a legal tolerance in place! Now I could be wrong here BUT! If being ticketing for driving within a legal tolerance is not revenue collection then it is fair to say “I will eat my hat” Of course the Government might have slipped a law modification in below the radar (so to speak) and lowered the tolerance to 5k’s – to which I say REVENUE COLLECTION. If you want to penalise people for driving abuse then penalise them for speeding and drunk driving etc.

I’m yet to follow a police automobile in normal traffic, that doesn’t fluctuate in speed just that small bit above and below the limit and most of their vehicles have cruise control.

Well that is my gripe. No more complaining!
Now where was I ?
Ah yes!

The straightforward act of turning off the mobile phone while driving is not so much an a choice these days as our desire to stay in contact with our surrounding world takes precedence. We live during a time of amazing change and advancement. The current generations experiencing this transformation have done so at a level unparalleled in the history of man. The last fifty years have seen more and more change than ever and it continues to gather momentum.

Therefore! Embrace the technology! Get yourself connected and use a bluetooth automotive kit
